DIRECTOR-TECHNICAL

The eminent head of the Institute Mr. M. Ponnilango as Director-Technical, is a very well known personality in the Hospitality industry for his remarkable services with rich experience in the Hotel Industry and Hotel Academics for the past 37 years. His long stretched hands have worked to great lengths towards modern teaching methodologies and a revolutionary change in Hotel Management syllabus to match the present standards of the hotel industry. Many of his students are well placed both in India and abroad.

He has received the prestigious Veteran Award in Hospitality Education from Hospitality Educators and Recruiters Association, Chennai during 2007.


PRINCIPAL

Mr.M.Ravi Shanker, has 31 years of rich experience in the hospitality industry and academics. He has been certified as the Certified Hospitality Educator by the Educational Institute of American Hotel and Motel Association U.S.A. He gives his strong hands to make Jenneys Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management a world class institute



Faculty Qualification & Experience

Jenneys Academy Faculties have been recruited and assessed in accordance with the All India council for Technical Education, Government of India and directorate of Technical Education, Government of Tamilnadu prescribed standards. The Faculty members are well qualified with rich experience in the Industry as well as Teaching.

Teaching Methods

The methods used by our Faculty will depend upon the nature of the training and can include one or more of the following approaches in a class for any hospitality course.

Class room delivery

Using Teaching Aids, like O.H.P., L.C.D. and Audio Visual.

Specialist "Class room" delivery

Includes training kitchens. Training restaurants. Training Bakeries, Online computerised reservation and Information system and other specialist facilities.

Flexible Learning


Refers to a range of learning strategies in a variety of learning environments to cater for differences in learning styles, learning interests and needs and variations in learning opportunities.

On the Job Delivery


Delivery at the work place venue.

Management Games


Interesting games are conducted to facilitate the students to learn the principles of Management, Team building, developing right attitudes, effective communication, etc.

Assessment

The Assessment procedures comply with the principles of validity, reliability, fairness and flexibility. The assessment will be equitable for all students. The successful completion of a course requires demonstration of competency in all competencies of that course.
